Further to yesterdays long post about the demise of Down & Out books, here's resurrection (part two).
Though it's been poorly handled and there have been some very poor decisions made by D & O, there is a sliver lining.
I now have the rights back to five titles I'm very proud of.
The Rat Pack series is currently awaiting some attention and may well rise from the ashes soon in a very positive way (fingers crossed everything comes off).
Smoke is having its third resurrection. It was initially published by Trestle Press, but I took it back when they were shown to be less than rigorous in their processes. It was then published by the wonderful Blasted Heath and the amazing All Due Respect. Here it is again just as a self-published title.
In Loco Parentis also has a new, self-pubbed lease of life. It's a controversial book that is either loved or hated (more split than any other of my books, I think). It had a terrific start to life with over thirty thousand downloads with its first free promotion (it was a free promo, pre-Bookbub, if you can imagine that). I love it and I hope you might, too.
To celebrate the resurrections, I'd like to give either a late or an early Easter gift to readers, so both kindle titles can be downloaded for free this weekend over at Amazon.
